Okay, so it’s time to admit that intensity ALL OF THE TIME (which is how I need to play it with so much going on in my life) comes with a price–lack of sleep. I’m not talking about not being able to find the time to climb into bed. I’m talking about not being able to be able to sleep once I get into bed. My body is ready to relax, but my mind is racing with all kinds of things–good things, but lots of them! Allegedly, Elvis used to have to take sleeping pills to go to sleep and then uppers to wake himself up in the morning. I am NOT going to follow in his footsteps–drugs are simply not the answer for me. I guess what I’m saying is that I finally understand why some people can’t sleep…there’s just too much going on in the wrinkles of my gray matter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hmmmm…so I’ll have to find a way to slow down my brain when my body and my clock agree on a bedtime!
exactley, just find something to take your mind off the daily grind of life.
Tylenol Simply Sleep is safe and non-habit forming
I have never heard anyone use the term “grey matter” besides Jewel and I adore the phrase. The song isn’t very happy but I think she sees grey matter as a somewhat positive thing…because while it doesn’t encompass love, it doesn’t encompass hate. Do you know it? Here’s the chorus:
“I am drifting
Without an anchor
Through your ambigous region
A strange continent
Immune to all reason
And I’m flattered by
Your grey matter”
It’s a pretty song
Don’t take sleep aids, there is no such thing as a non-habit forming sleep aid, Tylenol SS has Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride which can be habit forming. (I have a degree in drug therapy…which I never use, lol) Don;t want to be hurting yer wee noggin’ now do we?
Other ways to fall asleep?
1) Count goats (sheep are boring)
2) Read the books for class (it never fails for me)
3) Talk to yourself (it took me only 5 mins to find out I’m real boring …ZZZZZZZZZ)
Good luck, if nothing works, lemme know and I’ll pay Monsieur Sandman to do a number on you. Pleasant dreams….bwahahaha.
